The Michelin Guide's review
A splendid illustration of syncretism mixing Catholic and Andean traditions (17C), the baroque façade of this church is smothered in rich bas-reliefs. Admire the flamboyant side portal and the cloister. The interior is equally lavishly decorated, boasting gilt altars and altarpieces, polychrome statues and works by the Cuzco School. The Capilla San Ignacio, for its part, is graced with 17C murals depicting a tropical Eden.
