The Michelin Guide's review
Built in 1530 on the site of a 14C church, the main façade is the work of Alonso de Baena and is a perfect illustration of Plateresque art. The entrance, on the south façade, is built in a neo-Classical style. Inside, admire the fine star vaulting and a 17C altarpiece by Jérónimo Hernández and Juan Bautista Vásquez, which represents the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and hides the polygonal apse of the early Mudéjar church.
