This extensive 150ha park is surrounded by wrought-iron railings punctuated by four monumental gateways by Juan de Villanueva. Created by Boutelou in 1763 at the request of the future Charles IV, this English garden is a perfect illustration of the style in vogue at the end of the 18C. The kings maintained a model farm here with tropical greenhouses and even reared exotic animals.
