The Michelin Guide's review
Kocatepe Mosque is the largest in the city and was completed in 1987, following twenty years of construction. As tradition dictates, it forms part of a religious complex which includes a library and conference room, as well as the more modern additions of a huge car park and shopping centre. Built on the model of the great Ottoman mosques, the building is particularly reminiscent of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. This construction is very much in tune with modern architectural styles.
