Island of Andros

The Michelin Guide's review
The second largest island in the Cyclades, the verdant landscapes of which are refreshed by generous springs, sometimes call to mind Tuscany. The north, although more arid, has a scenery of stony ground in shades of ochre and brown. Andros not only offers hiking and swimming at its sandy beaches and rocky creeks, it also boasts interesting, eclectic architecture. It is worth spending several days on this island that is as yet unspoilt by tourism.
