The Michelin Guide's review
The 2,300-acre wetland, officially called the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge, acts as home base or migratory rest stop for more than 220 species of birds. A .25mi boardwalk equipped with information panels courses out into the marsh, where visitors with sharp eyes may see eagles and hawks as well as the usual waterfowl.
