The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Anchorage Museum presents an in-depth look at Alaskan history, art and ethnography. The art collection on the ground floor is dedicated to the people and landscapes of this northern state, including stunning canvases by Sydney Laurence (1865-1940), Alaska's most famous artist. On the first floor, the Alaska Gallery examines the way of the life of the native Aleut and Inuit tribes up until their first contact with Europeans. Finally, the Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center gallery houses a collection of 600 rare objects.
