Three limestone caverns, linked by man-made tunnels, are located on the northern slope of Mount Timpanogos. Reached by a steep 2.5km/1.5mi path which runs uphill to a height of 325m/1 065ft from the canyon-floor visitor centre, the Timpanogos Cave National Monument boasts impressive stalagmites and stalactites which are still in formation. The cave has a cool temperature of 6°C/43°F year-round.
