The Michelin Guide's review
The church of the former abbey is the oldest Romanesque monument in the Black Forest. The church's exterior is unusual because the Romanesque lower floor supports a Gothic chancel, whose buttresses stand on free columns rather than reaching to the floor. The more austere interior is decorated with a few wall paintings. The cloister is Late Gothic in style. A museum exhibiting artefacts from everyday life (late 15C-early 16C) occupies the abbot's quarters.
