San Francesco Church

 Michelin Guide
 Well worth the diversions
Religious monument
  The Michelin Guide's review
San Francesco Church was built in the 14C and, after it collapsed, was restored during the Renaissance. Two rose windows decorate the otherwise plain façade. Note the triangular bell tower (symbolising the Holy Trinity) and the little medieval court, both fine examples of the Catalan Gothic style. Inside, on a polychrome marble altar, stand three statues by Gian Battista Franco, dating from 1773. Have a look around the magnificent cloister, indicative of the simplicity characteristic of the Franciscan order.
