The Michelin Guide's review
The main section of this museum covers the history of transport (automobiles, cycles and horse-drawn vehicles) in the North East. Notable exhibits include one of the first bicycles, known as a "sociable safety cycle" (although it was not really safe at all!), and the Craigievar Express, a steam-driven tricycle made by a local postman in 1895 to make his post round easier, which could travel at a speed of 16 kph.
