University of New Mexico
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The University of New Mexico, founded in 1889 to increase the influence of the town after the arrival of the railway, provides Albuquerque with a vibrant cultural and intellectual feel. The campus is dotted with green spaces, fountains, benches and sculptures, while its architecture recalls the history of New Mexico with its neo-Pueblo, adobe style - Hodgin Hall and the Alumni memorial are particularly good examples. The Maxwell Museum of Anthropology houses a fine collection of pottery.
