The Michelin Guide's review
The classically structured minarets of this mosque-monastery reach a height of 50m. The upper balcony of the north minaret boasts an interesting view over the City of the Dead. Its two imposing domes decorated with chevron patterns are among the first to have been built out of stone (before this they were constructed out of brick), and frame a small dome overhanging the mihrab. The central courtyard is surrounded by porticos and features the vestiges of an ablutions fountain.
