The Michelin Guide's review
This church dedicated to the Virgin Mary and located in the heart of the Coptic district is cherished by Cairo's Christians. It was originally built (6C) at the top of two towers of the former Babylon Fortress, earning it its nickname. Highlights of the church include the 11C pulpit, supported by 15 marble columns, and the cedar, ebony and ivory iconostases.
