Vasarely Foundation
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This foundation, standing on a hill in the Jas de Bouffan district where Paul Cézanne's house once stood, occupies a modern building comprising 16 hexagonal structures. It highlights the research carried out by the master of Op-Art, Victor Vasarely (1906-1997) on linear deviations, light and the illusion of movement. Forty-four of the artist's monumental works created from metal, enamel, glass and tapestry are displayed in alveoli illuminated solely by natural light.
