The Michelin Guide's review
Arranged along a ridge confusingly referred to as a valley, these dozen or so temples form the "Valley of the Temples" which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Built in the 5C BC and burnt by the Carthaginians in 406, they were restored in their original style by the Romans. Despite being destroyed by earthquakes and the vicissitudes of time, the Temple of Concorde is in remarkably good condition, no doubt thanks to its conversion into a church in the 6C.
