National Park of Aggtelek

Michelin Guide
Well worth the diversions
Natural site
The Michelin Guide's review
The National Park of Aggtelek features an exceptional karstic grotto: the 25km-long Baradla is a listed Unesco World Heritage Site together with 711 grottoes in the region. We recommend the "medium circuit" which does not require anything more than a pair of sturdy shoes and a warm sweater. It gives you time to admire the stalactites and stalagmites and to enjoy the acoustics of the natural concert hall. After the visit, don't miss the chance to take a look at the village of Aggtelek (in the heart of the park) with its church and Neo-Baroque steeple.
