Gothic arches in the shade of palm trees: a most appealing place to visit. Bellapais Abbey was founded in the 13C under the patronage of the Lusignans. It is even thought that royal burial places are hidden beneath the church's paving stones. The remaining arcades of the cloisters lead to the former refectory. Its wide bay windows offer a splendid panoramic view over the coast. Around the monastery, there is an array of restaurants where you can have a pleasant lunch break.
