Located behind an escarpment of the eastern tip of Yoron island and abutting a small fishing port, Minata beach enjoys a particularly prime setting, sheltered from the wind. The jetty reaching into the sea, a few colourful fishing boats bob about alongside it, is like an invitation to head to the wooded islet of Minata Banare just offshore, 200m opposite. It is only accessible at low tide, on foot, by crossing the clear blue waters bordered by coral reefs.
