The Michelin Guide's review
At the northwest tip of Okinoerabu island, a white lighthouse signals the position of the vertiginous cliffs of Tamina Point to passing boats. At the top of the cliffs, when the weather is fine, an explosion of colours greets you, the grey of the limestone enhancing the green vegetation that covers it. The cape is also a wonderful vantage point for spotting whales (Jan-Mar) and turtles in the translucent water below, through which all the blue and emerald green nuances of the seabed reveal themselves.
