The Michelin Guide's review
In the estuary of the River Gesashi a coastal mangrove covers over 10ha. Part of Yanbaru National Park, this subtropical rainforest is essentially made up of mangroves, their roots half underground and soaked to the seawater. Whether by canoe, or on foot along a walkway laid out on piles, visitors can experience this space of unique biodiversity, as it changes with the tides, and see birds, butterflies and fish, as well as certain species of endemic fiddler crabs and mudskippers.
