Island of Boa Vista

The Michelin Guide's review
Wide rocky expanses, bare mountains, dunes, a small desert and idyllic beaches, vast, pristine, lapped at by a clear sea... This is what gives Boa Vista such a unique identity. It is considered the birthplace of morna, a Cape Verdean musical genre that can still be heard in its peaceful villages. On this still little-frequented island, you can observe whales in winter and turtles in summer, and try your hand at water sports (surfing, windsurfing...). No chance of running out of things to do!
