Tunnel View, an astounding viewpoint of Yosemite National Park, takes in the whole valley. The glaciers have gullied the cliffs, and considerably widened the canyon hewn out by the Merced River that winds below, masked by a thick carpet of green. On the right, the impetuous Bridalveil Falls tumbles from a cliff 189m up. On the other side of the road, the silhouette of El Capitan (2 307m) is even more impressive.
