This detour forming a cul-de-sac (50km there and back on the F 235) will reveal the country's real hidden treasure to you! The arrival at Langisjór, a very narrow, 20km-long lake, comes as a shock. From the headland, the panoramic view is sublime: the whole of the body of water on the northern side, up to the foot of the glacier Tungnaarjökull, and the deserted valley on the south side, all bathed in an infinite palette of lights.
