The Michelin Guide's review
The magnificent royal residence of Drottningholm (late 17C-early 18C), consisting of a palace, sumptuous apartments, Baroque theatre, symmetrical gardens and a Rococo-style Chinese pavilion, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The palace is located on the island of Lovön on Lake Malar. The approach by boat from Stockholm provides a beautiful view of the façade and main entrance. The Swedish royal family has lived in the south wing since 1981.
