The Michelin Guide's review
If you are looking for rural Connecticut, go no further than Litchfield Hills, in the northwest of the state. The region is home to rolling wooded hillsides, riddled by quiet country roads and picturesque covered bridges. The forests, streams and waterfalls have long been the canvas for artists and writers. The small villages, founded at the time of the colonies (Litchfield, Norfolk, Woodbury and Washington), have retained their old-fashioned charm.
