The Michelin Guide's review
This narrow pass is named after the Crawford family, who traced the first trail to the top of Mount Washington in the early 19C. Their house often served as a refuge for hikers. Take a break (carpark to the left of the road) and follow the forest trail that crosses the stream just before the refreshing and magnificent Arethusa Falls. Afterwards, you can leave by Road 302, which skirts the Silver Cascade, an impressive waterfall.
