The Michelin Guide's review
Beginning from its source in Maine to its estuary in the Fundy bay, the St. John's River first runs through vast woodlands then continues through a valley dotted with farmsteads in prosperous New Brunswick. Since the 19C, the St. John's River has been one of Canada's main travel axes. A number of sights await you on your journey through the valley, such as the Kings Landing Historical Settlement, a beautifully restored 19C village and the impressive Grand Falls Gorges.
