The Michelin Guide's review
Island in the Sky is the highest part of Canyonlands National Park. It is called this because it is lined with deep canyons and is only attached to the rest of the Colorado Plateau by a narrow strip of land: the Neck. Grand View Point, which dominates this labyrinth of red canyons, commands an exceptional panoramic view. Arches, giant craters, and tracks forming incredible hairpin bends are also part of the landscape.
