The Michelin Guide's review
The cerrado is an ecosystem in central-western Brazil, a vast savannah considered to be one of the richest in the world in terms of biodiversity. More than 10,000 plant species have adapted to these climatic conditions, most of them unknown elsewhere on the planet. It's a strange sensation to discover trees, flowers and fruit that have never been seen before. In 1961, the area was declared a national park and in 2001 it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
