The Michelin Guide's review
The most westerly point in Brittany and therefore in mainland France, Ouessant is truly a "land's end". The crossing to this island, situated at the meeting point of the Channel and the Atlantic, can often be choppy. But the trip is worthwhile, as you come ashore in a land with a pronounced and unique character, which has been protected under the auspices of the Parc Naturel Régional d'Armorique since 1969. Its rugged and grandiose landscape make an indelible impression.
