The Michelin Guide's review
Airy and elegant, the two-story frame house skirted by wide verandas is Broward County's oldest building and a graceful example of Florida pioneer architecture. A popular historical curiosity, Stranahan House stands on the site of the trading post built by pioneer Frank Stranahan to serve settlers and local Seminoles. The interior has been restored to its original condition and furnished with period objects and furniture along with a smattering of Seminole artifacts.
