Reference to a farm in the centre of the village first appears in 1764; many years later it was taken over by the Morent family and became a village inn. Now the presence of daughter Lisa and her partner is like a breath of fresh air. They devise a short, season-focused menu comprising tasty, pleasingly pared-back dishes made from good – predominantly regional – ingredients. The space has a rustic-style wooden ceiling and a beautifully sleek and modern feel. Per sitting, this amiable couple can accommodate 20 diners, who are treated to cordial and attentive service. From the entrance area, you can catch a glimpse of the action in the kitchen.
