The Michelin Guide's review
The Grand Hotel – built in 1906 as the HQ of the North-Eastern Railway Company – acknowledged the good and the great from York’s past when naming their formal, ground-floor restaurant ‘Legacy’. Its kitchen is strong on technique and uses Yorkshire ingredients to good effect to provide attractive, modern dishes. A knowledgeable, professional service team add to the sense of occasion.
