Cuisine from Valtellina
The Michelin Guide's review
After leaving your car in the car park and walking up a short slope through the terraced vineyards, you reach this charming restaurant, housed in an old stone building once used for wine-growing. The rooms retain the charm of old Valtellina, with a pleasantly rustic and romantic atmosphere, while in the warmer months the arbour offers a splendid view over the valley. The cuisine draws on local traditions to create a menu that combines classic recipes with contemporary interpretations: there is no shortage of bresaola, pizzoccheri and meat dishes, alongside more creative dishes that follow the rhythm of the seasons. The wine cellar is particularly interesting, showcasing the finest wines of Valtellina, with a selection of wines from the historic Nino Negri winery, which owns the vineyards of the same name, among which the restaurant is situated.
