This wonderful place has plenty of distinctive features. A converted old sawmill, it is set in a peaceful, idyllic location, complete with a magnificent garden terrace where you feel as though you're sitting in the neighbouring forest. Work by various artists is regularly displayed here. The attractive interior blends traditional charm with modern touches, the intricately crafted wooden ceiling being particularly striking. Then there is the Sicher family's dedication and warm hospitality – Michael heads up the kitchen, and his brother Wolfgang, who is also the sommelier, oversees the attentive service. An ambitious, creative seasonal set menu is accompanied by excellent wine pairings by the glass recommended at the table. More down-to-earth à la carte dishes are also available, including whole trout or char. The restaurant's fish farm plays a central role, with an emphasis on ingredients grown in-house and sourced from regional producers. The renowned "Sicher" char caviar is a speciality of the house.
