Seasonal Cuisine
The Michelin Guide's review
Johann Schmuck runs his restaurant in the former Bruggenmühl, a historic mill dating back to 1581. He and Maximilian Grandtner jointly oversee the kitchen, guided by their motto: "Our cuisine follows no trends. It follows nature." They are happy to accommodate diners' wishes, and their seasonal cuisine has a distinctive style, impressing both with its craftsmanship and flavour. The experience begins with an aperitif in the lounge, followed by the nine-course "Terra" surprise menu, served in the chic, modern restaurant on the lower level. You return to the lounge to round off the meal with petits fours and coffee or a digestif. Tip: In summer, the terrace overlooking the Stainzbach stream is a real draw. The friendly, professional staff provide attentive service and are happy to recommend wines from Styria, Burgenland and other wine regions.
