The Michelin Guide's review
No description of Amadeus can be made without mentioning the Masano family, along with their passion, enthusiasm and dreams. Thanks to rave reviews of their cooking from friends, they decided to open a restaurant known as “fish corner” in São Paulo. Today, the kitchen is overseen by chef Bella Masano, the owners’ daughter, who embellishes the menu with her innovative culinary creations alongside classic dishes which have been given a contemporary makeover. Her cooking is showcased on an à la carte and tasting menu which includes options such as fresh oysters from the family’s own beds in Florianópolis. Amadeus’ signature dishes include the shrimp “à paulista”, prepared with olive oil and garlic, which is full of flavour and perfect for sharing, and the “moqueca Amadeus”, a stew with fish and shrimp, served with plantain and onion farofa – an exquisite combination!
