The Michelin Guide's review
Original details lend charm to this landmark space nestled at the base of the Emma Hotel. Once home to Pearl's Brewhouse, built in 1894, it's now a buzzy gathering place for locals and visitors alike. The sprawling interior features a number of different areas for dining, while the bar is a popular perch with a view of the brewery. Sip a beer and snack on fried snapper throats sided by spicy aioli and celery root remoulade before tucking into an East Texas crawfish roll. Imagine a New England lobster roll, only stuffed with tender, sweet crawfish and Creole butter for dipping, with spicy fries for good measure. Still peckish? A slice of their three-layer chocolate cake with ganache and Amarena cherries will certainly do the trick.
