The Michelin Guide's review
The “Fisherman’s Hut” is a great Istrian institution with a history of over a century. The restaurant was in existence well before the eponymous resort that now hosts it, built at a later date around it. The bright veranda dining room, with one wall entirely in glass, overlooks the Marina Veruda yacht harbour, offering pleasant sea views from every table. Even more evocative is the summer terrace, as is the Lounge Bar Vertigo, open in the evenings on the building’s rooftop and perfect for a sunset aperitif. The kitchen specialises in the flavours of the sea, offering a menu that celebrates the freshness of the local catch: Kvarner langoustines are served grilled or alla busara, while the catch of the day may be prepared in the most classic ways – grilled, baked, or in a salt crust. A selection of meat dishes is also available. Vintage car enthusiasts will appreciate the 1970s Triumph Spitfire convertible on display within the restaurant.
