Modern Cuisine
The Michelin Guide's review
The central location, in the small town that is home to some of the largest caves in Europe, makes this venue ideal both for a business lunch, aided by a well-priced menu of the day, and for a more leisurely visit.  The kitchen offers dishes of regional inspiration reinterpreted with a modern touch, such as marinated trout served with wild asparagus, strawberry coulis and horseradish, or succulent oxtail with seasonal vegetables. The intimate interior dining room is complemented by a pleasant outdoor space, particularly agreeable in fine weather. The wine list is also worthy of attention, surprising in its breadth and depth: particularly notable is the vertical of Marjan Simčič’s Rebula Opoka.
