The Michelin Guide's review
North of downtown in Phoenix's Melrose neighborhood, this spot from Cecelia Miller of the Tohono O'odham Nation specializes in fry bread, a Native American dish of fried dough that's crispy on the outside and tender and fluffy in the middle. You'll need just one bite to see why this spot draws large crowds every day of the week. Fry bread topped with refried beans, green chilis, sour cream and cheese is simple, but it's a messy delight. Red chili beef stew, thick and hearty, is even better with a fry bread on the side. The signature item even appears at dessert, dusted with cinnamon sugar and worth every last bite.
