After working at several acclaimed establishments – most recently Seesteg – owner-chef Hilko Uphoff and his partner, Giulia Casto, run this stylish restaurant next to the Michels Thalasso Hotel Nordseehaus, right at the beginning of the pedestrianised shopping area. His cuisine is classically French but also incorporates contemporary influences. The menu includes dishes such as whole roasted North Sea sole with creamy cucumber salad, buttered potatoes, beurre noisette and truffle. The restaurant itself is inviting too, with its bright, pared-down modern interior, as well as an appealing terrace laid out in front of the large windows.
