A fine arts student in a former life, chef Mathieu Lacaze takes great care over the presentation of his dishes. His artistic sensibility shines through in his resolutely modern market-fresh cuisine. In keeping with the seasons, his dishes are prepared using quality local ingredients selected from organic market gardeners and small-scale livestock farmers. The space is contemporary, with exposed tiles and stone walls; in fine weather, make a beeline for the small patio terrace. A surprise set menu is served in the evening, along with a fine selection of independent wines, mainly organic and natural.
