The Michelin Guide's review
Formerly home to Lord Snowdon, the cosy Plas Dinas Country House dates from the 17th century and was built around the stone fireplace that still stands in The Gunroom today. They are open for afternoon tea but dinner is when the kitchen is in full swing, serving a monthly changing menu of classically based dishes that showcase high-quality Welsh ingredients. Look out for local seafood in particular, be it Anglesey sea bass or oysters and scallops from the Menai Strait. To complete the experience, add on a wine pairing and an enticing Welsh cheeseboard.
