The Michelin Guide's review
Named for a famous street food area in Bangkok, Soi 38 is a tribute to Thailand. The dining room, awash in white, has a chic atmosphere, while the menu spotlights regional dishes mastered by the chef while living and working in Thailand. Faithful to tradition while also infusing a bit of fun and creativity, dishes include miang kham with chopped raw shrimp. Served on a betel leaf that's intended for wrapping and eating in one bite, it's a sweet and spicy dish. Twice-cooked pork short ribs are falling-off-the-bone tender and curry dishes are plentiful (think red, massaman and yellow curry). To finish, opt for the banana crème brûlée with coconut sorbet.
