Surrounded by mountains, lakes and the great wilderness of Hokkaido, Mashuko Youth Hostel offers simple accommodations with free WiFi access. Lake Mashu is a 16-minute drive from the hostel. Rooms are carpeted and equipped with heating facilities. All rooms are simply decorated and are strictly nonsmoking. Bathrooms and toilets are shared with other guests. Guests staying at our hostel can use the coin laundry (fees apply), a sink, drinking water, coffee, tea, and green tea. Other facilities offered at the property include a shared lounge and luggage storage. At the front desk, guests can purchase laundry detergent, tooth brushes and razors. Our hostel does not currently serve meals, so please use a nearby restaurant or purchase at a nearby supermarket or convenience store and bring it to our hostel. In addition, you can use simple self-catering facilities such as a microwave oven, toaster, rice cooker, cutting board, kitchen knife, gas stove, and frying pan. Lake Kussharo is a 30-minute drive away, while Lake Akan is a 60-minute drive from the hostel. Kushiro Shitsugen National Park can also be drive to in 60 minutes. The nearest airport, Nakashibetsu Airport, is a 1-hour and 15-minute drive away.
