Located on a private 8-hectare island in the middle of the Blyde River, The Island Hoedspruit offers accommodations within 9.9 mi of Hoedspruit. Accessible via a causeway across the river, this property is surrounded by indigenous vegetation and bird life.
The Island Hoedspruit has a private lodge, as well as permanent tented accommodations. The 2-bedroom lodge features a 1476 foot Rhodesian teak terrace overlooking the river, a private pool and a large outdoor entertainment area. The spacious tented units have both a private BBQ area and access to a communal boma area, with a fully-equipped shared kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas and a fire pit.
The Island is home to a variety of wildlife and flora, including a number of rare birds, and 200-300 year old trees canopy much of the island.
