Dating back from the 17th century, the hall is located on the Mawddach estuary and features views over the water towards the Cambrian mountains and Cardigan Bay. Free Wi-Fi is featured in each room at Borthwnog, as well as a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. Tea/coffee making facilities are also provided. In the mornings, guests can enjoy cooked breakfast with locally made chicken and herb sausages. Dishes are prepared without pork products. Many Regency-period features can be seen within the property, such as reeded doorcases, high ceilings and traditional furniture. A large reef aquarium is located in the dining room and houses surgeon fish, yellow tangs, clownfish and many other species.
