Lingwood Lodge is located on its own grounds, just a short walk from Lake Windermere and the lovely village of Bowness. We offer free parking so guests can park their car and enjoy a stroll into Bowness. The lodge features all rooms with attached bathroom with free Wi-Fi. All of the spacious double rooms have a kingsize bed, and the larger family rooms have super king beds. The family rooms can sleep either 3 or 4 guests in additional single beds. All rooms have a TV with a DVD/CD player and a well-stocked hospitality tray. We have added fridges and coffee machines to all rooms for guests to enjoy. The en-suite shower room offers free toiletries. Most rooms feature countryside views over Claife Heights and the lovely Lodge gardens. Lingwood Lodge offers a room-only service, leaving guests free to enjoy a leisurely walk into Bowness to enjoy a breakfast at a time that suits. The Steamer Pier is just 5 minutes' walk away and offers boat trips on Windermere Lake. The village of Bowness offers numerous restaurants, shops, pubs, and attractions. The Lodge is ideally located for outdoor pursuits, and many of these are featured on the Lodge website, giving details of how much there is to do. There are walks from the doorstep, so guests can leave their car in the free car park provided at The Lodge. We also offer free storage for those of you with bikes. Golf is a short drive away at Windermere Golf Course, and there are several other courses within a few miles drive, allowing a golf group to enjoy different courses during their stay.
